CSUN to Play in Soccer Tournament at UNLV

Cal State Northridge will play the University of San Diego in the first round of the Nevada Las Vegas soccer tournament at 3 this afternoon.
The Matadors are scheduled to play the host Runnin’ Rebels on Sunday at 1 p.m.
Scott Piri and Jim Hofferber will lead Northridge (3-0-2), runner-up in the past two NCAA Division II championships.
Piri and Hofferber have each scored a team-high three goals this season.
Hofferber had a goal and an assist in Northridge’s 3-3 overtime tie with Westmont on Wednesday.
