Reseda 12, Canoga Park 7--Sophomore quarterback Deon Edwards hit Rocky Tribble with a 32-yard touchdown pass on fourth and 15 in the third quarter to give host Reseda a season-opening win.
Edwards replaced starter Andre Jackson, who injured an ankle two plays before the winning score.
Canoga Park quarterback David Erhardt, who was forced to pass on the run by the swarming Reseda defense, completed only three of 14 for 16 yards.
Reseda controlled the game in the fourth quarter largely on the running of Joey Tushnet, who rushed for 100 yards in 22 carries and piled up 45 fourth-quarter yards.
