LAPD Dedicates 3rd Outpost in Northeast
The Los Angeles Police Department’s Northeast Division dedicated its third privately funded outpost in a storefront on Colorado Boulevard in Eagle Rock.
The outpost, rented for the Police Department by community groups, will be used for writing reports, sparing officers on patrol the need to return to their headquarters on San Fernando Road. It will not be open to the public or regularly staffed.
Rent on the building at 1722 Colorado Blvd. will be paid by the Eagle Rock Chamber of Commerce, Business for Law Enforcement Northeast Division, Kiwanis, Rotary and other groups. Ralph Boyd is donating the cost of utilities.
Other Northeast Division outposts are at 6132 York Blvd., Highland Park, and 1822 Hyperion Ave., Silver Lake.
