Pacific Symphony officials said information in an Orange County Performing Arts Center monthly calendar, listing a New Year’s Eve performance by the orchestra, guest conductor Toshiyuki Shimada and soprano Evelyn de la Rosa, is incorrect. The program, announced as a joint venture between the orchestra and the Orange County Philharmonic Society, is only in the planning stage, officials said, and Shimada and de La Rosa are not confirmed for the event, which would be the Pacific’s third annual New Year’s Eve ball. The incorrect information was published Sunday in a Santa Ana newspaper.
