South Gate : $1.9-Million Remodeling Job Planned at Junior High

The Los Angeles Unified School District Board of Education has awarded a $1.9-million contract to Pinner Construction Co. of Paramount for modernization of three buildings on the campus of South Gate Junior High School.
The industrial arts, administration and science buildings will be remodeled. Some students at the school, which is the largest junior high in the Los Angeles district, will be moved to temporary classrooms on the playground during more than 15 months of construction. There are more than 4,000 students attending the year-round school at 4100 Firestone Blvd.
