A Venice man was arrested Wednesday for investigation of assault with a deadly weapon in connection with a shooting incident over the weekend in the fraternity row area near UCLA. Two shots were fired during a street fight early Saturday, but no one was injured, UCLA police said.
Witnesses identified Quincy Delight Jones III, 20, as the alleged gunman, UCLA Police Chief John C. Barber said. A pistol was recovered during a search of Jones’ residence, Barber said, adding that two bullets were missing.
Jones has no known connection to UCLA but was at a party in a fraternity house rented out to high school students, UCLA police said.
