Pedestrian Hit by Van in Tujunga Dies

A man was struck by a van and killed as he ran across a street in Tujunga on Friday, Los Angeles police said.
Police were unable to identify the victim, who was described as in his early 30s. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the 6:05 p.m. accident on Tujunga Canyon Boulevard at Pinewood Avenue, Officer Mark Snyder said.
The man was not in a crosswalk, Snyder said. The driver of the van, John Sullivan, 27, of West Los Angeles, was not cited, Snyder said.
