Mexican Fireworks Take Boy’s Fingers

A 14-year-old Vista boy lost three fingers on his left hand Friday when he lit an explosive device outside his home, according to the Sheriff’s Department.
The victim, who lives in the 800 block of North Citrus Street, had found several Mexican fireworks last week in the schoolyard of Vista High School, said Deputy Lori-Ann McNally.
