Birmingham 40, Monroe 7--Danny Larson completed 16 of 27 passes for 166 yards and two touchdowns and ran for three more to lead Birmingham at Monroe.

Larson rushed for 167 yards in five carries and scored on runs of 67, 56, and 20 yards. He threw scoring passes of 11 yards to Carlos Fernandez and 26 yards Anthony McCombs.

Monroe kicker Rachel Gagliano tied the state scoring record for a girl with a third-quarter extra-point. But she missed a 42-yard field-goal attempt in the first quarter, her first miss of the season.
