Norway Searches for Heirs to Claim U.S. Woman’s $1-Million Fortune

OSLO, Norway — Some Norwegians may dream of a rich American aunt leaving them $1 million. Someone’s fantasy came true last week, but the question is: whose?
The Foreign Ministry is searching for the nieces or nephews of the late Olga Johnson, a widow of Norwegian descent from Glasgow, Mont. She died and left an unclaimed million-dollar fortune.
“We often get cases like this, but this is an unusually large amount,” said Kjell Breit of the Foreign Ministry.
He said the ministry had some leads.
Breit said he expected possible heirs to be extremely cooperative in contacting the ministry, which has publicized the case through newspapers.
