SHORT TAKES : Woods Files for Separation

Actor James Woods has filed for a legal separation from his wife of five months, Sarah Marie Owen, court papers showed today. Wood, star of such films as “Immediate Family,” “True Believer” and “Salvador,” married Owen on July 2. They were separated Nov. 6, according to papers filed Friday by attorney Dennis Wasser. The petition, which cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the breakup, said all property had been divided under a separate written agreement. The couple have no children.

Woods also has appeared in “The Way We Were,” “The Onion Field,” “Against All Odds” “Cop” and “Joshua Then and Now.”
