LOCAL : 2nd McMartin Verdict Returned

On its 18th day of deliberations, the jury in the McMartin Pre-School molestation trial returned a verdict today on a second count in the 65-count case.
The verdict, like the first verdict reached last week, was ordered sealed.
Superior Court Judge William R. Pounders, responding to jurors’ concerns, ruled Monday that no partial verdicts will be announced in the trial before the jury’s scheduled two-week vacation Dec. 15.
