Region : Renaissance Lectures Set

The Los Angeles County Public Library will sponsor a series of lectures, “Quest for the Renaissance,” at three San Gabriel Valley libraries in January:
* The first lecture, “Alberti, Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo,” will be presented by Loren Patridge of the history department at UC Berkeley.
* “The Book and the Library” will be presented by Mary Kay Duggan of UC Berkeley.
* “Rebirth of Music” by William Mahrt of Stanford is the third lecture.
* “Poets, Letters and Musicians” by Todd Wetherwax, music director of San Francisco Consort, is the last lecture.
The 7 p.m. lectures will be on Tuesdays Jan. 9, 16, 23 and 30 at Rosemead Library, 8800 Valley Blvd.; Wednesdays Jan. 10, 17, 24 and 31 at La Verne Library, 3640 D St., and Thursdays Jan. 11, 18 and 25 and Feb. 1 at Hacienda Heights Library, 16010 La Monde St.
The lectures are free.
