The Pasadena Dance Theatre will present “The Nutcracker” at San Gabriel Civic Auditorium, 320 S. Mission Drive, San Gabriel, 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and Dec. 22 and 23; 2 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and Dec. 23 and 1 p.m. Dec. 24. General admission tickets range from $12 to $15.
The ninth annual production will feature David Roxander, former first soloist with National Ballet of Canada, and Ann Marie DeAngelo, formerly with The Joffrey Ballet. Above is a pose from the Doll and Bear dance.
The performance of the ballet classic is based on the original 1944 choreography created by William Christensen for the San Francisco Ballet.
The Pasadena Dance Theatre, founded in 1958 by Evelyn LeMone, is a nationally recognized regional ballet company that has received choreographic awards from the National Assn. of Regional Ballet.
