Old Globe Sets Season: San Diego’s Old Globe Theatre’s summer season will include the premiere of “White Man Dancing,” a new play by Old Globe veteran Stephen Metcalfe, author of “Strange Snow” and “Emily.” Described by a theater spokesperson as being about the relationship between two men living in “an unfair world,” it will run June 28-Aug. 19 at the Cassius Carter Centre Stage. Also coming up at the San Diego theater are the West Coast premiere of Lee Blessing’s “Cobb,” deferred from the winter season to a June 23-Aug. 5 run to accommodate the schedule of director Lloyd Richards; “Hamlet” (Aug. 25-Oct. 7); “As You Like It” (June 17-July 29), “Our Town” (Aug. 19-Sept. 30), and “Heartbeats” (Aug. 30-Oct. 21), a revue by Amanda McBroom which was seen at L.A.’s Matrix Theatre in 1986.
