F-15 Jet Missing in Alaska

ELMENDORF AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska — Military helicopters were used Wednesday to search west of Anchorage for an Air Force F-15 jet fighter that disappeared a day earlier while on a training mission. The jet, carrying only the pilot, dropped off radar just as Anchorage air traffic controllers were handing his flight off to air base controllers.
