A 19-year-old illegal immigrant convicted of fatally stabbing a man in Balboa Park during a robbery was sentenced Thursday to 25 years to life in state prison.
A $1,000 fine was also levied against Javier Garcia Gutierrez for his first-degree murder and robbery conviction in the July 5 death of Franklin Black, 34.
