TransTechnology Corp. named Ralph E. Hutchins as president and chief executive, succeeding Dan McBride, who retired.
Hutchins, 52, was executive vice president and chief operating officer of TransTechnology, a Sherman Oaks producer of aerospace and industrial equipment. He joined the company in 1977. TransTechnology said it had no immediate plans to fill the chief operating officer’s post.
McBride, 67, was TransTechnology’s president and chief executive for 20 years. He will remain a director of the company.
