GIRLS’ BASKETBALL ROUNDUP : No. 2 Ocean View Falls to Fountain Valley in Overtime

Jennifer Barbaro scored 16 points and guard Julie Workman had 15 to lead host Fountain Valley to a 52-44 overtime victory over No. 2-ranked Ocean View Saturday.
Fountain Valley (14-8, 3-3) shut out Ocean View, 8-0, in the overtime period. Ocean View (20-2, 5-1) had tied the score, 44-44, with a minute remaining in regulation, but neither team was able to score again.
In other Sunset League games:
Marina 69, Westminster 31--Junior forward Gillian Bean made nine of 10 shots for 18 points and Melissa Sortino had 13 points and five assists for visiting Marina (15-6, 5-1).
Edison 71, Huntington Beach 47--Debbie Fischer had 25 points and Laura Vinch had 21 to lead host Edison (13-6, 3-3).
In nonleague games:
El Toro 63, El Dorado 39--Carrie Yoshioka had 13 points, eight assists and five rebounds to lead visiting El Toro (19-5).
Valencia 51, La Habra 43--Forward Hollie Keeton had 25 points, 10 rebounds and six steals to pace host Valencia (11-9).
Woodbridge 59, Mission Viejo 49--Mission Viejo led, 43-38, to start the fourth quarter but was outscored, 21-6, at Woodbridge.
In the Olympic League:
Santa Margarita 64, Brethren 14--Kristen Mulligan had 18 points to pace Santa Margarita (13-6, 8-2).
In the Pacific Coast League:
Orange 58, Trabuco Hills 41--Nicole Champion had 26 points and 12 rebounds, Alin Perez had 15 points and five steals and Ginnie Hall had 10 points to lead visiting Orange (13-5, 5-1).
