Bill Would Abolish RTC Board: Rep. Bruce Vento (D-Minn.), as expected, introduced a bill to abolish the Oversight Board of the Resolution Trust Corp., the agency started last year to dispose of assets of failed thrifts. Vento, chairman of the House RTC Task Force, said the board is holding up solving the thrift crisis. The board members are Treasury Secretary Nicholas Brady, Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan and Housing and Urban Development Secretary Jack Kemp.
