LTV Gets Contracts for Additional Rockets

DALLAS — LTV Corp. said its missiles and electronics group has received additional contracts of $92.1 million for its Multiple Launch Rocket System from the U.S. Army Missile Command.
The orders include MLRS weapons platforms, rockets and training equipment, the company said.
One of the contracts for $68.5 million would be an increase to a five-year, $942-million contract awarded by the Army late last year. The new contract would be for an additional 27 MLRS weapons platforms, 16,788 rockets and training equipment.
The second contract, for $23.6 million, would be for military sales to Turkey and Bahrain, the company said.
