Thailand’s Khaosai Galaxy survived an early knockdown to stop (Cobra) Ari Blanca of the Philippines in the fifth round today and retain his World Boxing Assn. bantamweight title. It was Galaxy’s 11th knockout and 13th successful defense since winning the crown five years ago.
