The Ventura County Symphony, conducted by Frank Salazar, will present French pianist Daniele Arpajou on Saturday and Sunday at the Oxnard Civic Auditorium. She is a professor of music at the Conservatoire de Savigny in Paris.
“Daniele is a fine veteran performer and is currently on world tour. She performed with the symphony five years ago and we have asked for a return engagement,” said Karine Beesley, executive director of the symphony.
Arpajou will perform Debussy’s “La Mer,” “Variations Symphoniques” by Franck and “Symphonie Fantastique” by Berlioz.
SYMPHONY PERFORMANCE
The Oxnard Civic Auditorium is located at 800 Hobson Way, Oxnard. Tickets for Saturday’s 8:15 p.m. performance are $17, $13 and $9. Tickets for Sunday’s 3 p.m. concert are the same with the addition of a $5 ticket for those under 18.
