6 Children Killed in Mobile Home Blaze

LAROSE, La. — Fire engulfed a mobile home Tuesday and killed six children, ranging in age from 9 months to 12 years, although relatives living nearby rushed to help save the youngsters, authorities said. Their parents escaped with two other children who weren’t harmed.
The family had just moved the trailer to the area Monday, neighbors said. The trailer had no power and was connected by a single extension cord to another power source. Fire officials said the blaze was under investigation.
