Re: “Mayor Foresees a Shiny Future for Santa Ana” (April 9). Mayor Daniel H. Young at one time showed a lot of compassion for the downtrodden, but ever since he changed from Democrat to Republican, he not only changed his principles, but he sold out a lot of his staunch supporters. One recent example has been that of the homeless and the disregard he has for the displacement of Latino families by redevelopment.
But rightly so, Legal Aid has sued the city. So has Hermandad Mexicana Nacional on behalf of these groups. As the mayor continues to sell out the city to the highest bidder, I’m afraid the city will continue to be sued because of his biased leadership.
