NEW YORK — Actress Katharine Hepburn has begun writing her memoirs and expects to be finished about August.
“I am full of prayer and hope it will be interesting,” she said Thursday in a telephone interview from her Manhattan townhouse. She declined to give details of the book, tentatively titled “Me.”
The book will be released in 1991, publishing house Alfred A. Knopf announced.
The 80-year-old Miss Hepburn, whose “The Making of the African Queen: How I Went to Africa with Bogart, Bacall and Huston and Almost Lost My Mind” was published in 1987, said she usually starts writing about 7 in the morning.
“As long as I can think, I write,” she said.
