McDonnell Douglas Debt Rating Under Review: Moody’s Investors Services said it is looking at whether to downgrade the debt rating of McDonnell Douglas following the company’s continuing losses on its commercial aircraft operation and the deteriorating outlook for defense. The rating agency said it is focusing on whether problems at the firm’s Douglas Aircraft unit will affect overall credit quality and cash flow. The ratings include the single A3 rating on McDonnell’s senior debt, BAA1 subordinated debt rating and the single A2 rating on McDonnell Douglas Finance Corp.’s senior debt.
