Robert Campeau to Pay Bank: Financier Robert Campeau, struggling under a mountain of personal debt, has agreed to pay the National Bank of Canada $34 million U.S. by May 31. Industry analysts said it was unclear how Campeau, who appears to be close to personal bankruptcy, will raise the money. Campeau, whose personal finances are as tangled as the company he chairs, could not be reached for comment. A spokesman for Campeau Corp. said the deal between Robert Campeau and the bank is a personal one and will not affect the company.
