Tennis Tournament of Champions Starts Today

Seventeen Magazine’s Tennis Tournament of Champions begins at 9 a.m. today and continues through Saturday at the Marguerite Recreation Center in Mission Viejo.
The finals for three age groups--18-, 16- and 14-and-under--will be held Saturday.
Keri Phebus of Corona del Mar High School, who won the 16s title last year and is No. 1-ranked in the 16s nationally, will move up to play in the 18s. Phebus, a sophomore, is the two-time Southern Section singles champion.
Past winners include Tracy Austin, Andrea Jaeger, Kathy Rinaldi, Zina Garrison and Stephanie Rehe.
