Drug Firm Buys North Carolina Company: McKesson Corp., the nation’s largest distributor of pharmaceuticals, health and beauty aids and non-durable consumer goods, has acquired Garner Wholesale Merchandisers of Greenville for $13 million in cash. Garner sells non-food items to supermarkets. The San Francisco-based McKesson also agreed to assume about $3 million in liabilities.
