Police continue to search for three men who abducted and raped a 36-year-old woman in Oxnard.
The woman was walking home Monday on Grant Avenue near Cooper Road in Oxnard when a man whom she knew by sight approached her, Sgt. Gary Amar of the Oxnard Police Department said.
As the two were talking, a second man whom the woman did not know came up behind her and put a knife to her back, Amar said.
The man with the knife told the woman to start walking and warned her not to scream, Amar said.
A third man approached them and they walked to a vacant lot at Cooper Road and Hayes Avenue, Amar said.
The woman was raped repeatedly at knifepoint, Amar said.
The men held her there until 5 a.m., when she was released with the threat that they would hurt her if she went to police, Amar said.
