UCLA’s women’s crew ended the 10-year dominance of Washington, rowing the 2,000-meter Pacific Coast Rowing Championships course in 6:54.1 to win at Lake Natoma at Rancho Cordova.
Washington’s men’s boat surged past UCLA’s in the final 100 meters to end the Bruins’ three-year dominance. The top-seeded Huskies were timed in 6:01.2. UCLA was second in 6:02.4 and California finished third in 6:12.4.
