Pic ‘N’ Save Corp.: The discount retailer said first-quarter profit totaled $5.9 million, up 10% from a year ago. Sales rose 26% to $118.9 million. The Dominguez-based firm said sales in comparable stores were 5.8% higher than in the year-ago period.
