Atlanta officials won the right to be first in presenting their case to be host city for the 1996 summer Olympic Games to the International Olympic Committee.
The U.S. city won a draw at an IOC meeting in Barcelona against Athens, Toronto; Belgrade, Yugoslavia; Melbourne, Australia, and Manchester, England, in that order. The cities will make presentations next September in Tokyo.
