Woman Injured in Drive Off Cliff

A 34-year-old woman suffered undetermined injuries Friday night when she apparently drove her car off an 80-foot cliff in the 5500 block of University Avenue, police and hospital officials said.
San Diego police were viewing the incident as a suicide attempt.
Mercy Hospital spokeswoman Laura Avallone said the woman was in fair condition and that an examination for internal injuries was continuing.
No other information was available late Friday night.
