In regards to Allan Malamud’s remarks (June 4) about Sunday Silence’s victory in the Californian not scaring anyone, give us a break. You had to know that Charlie Whittingham told Pat Valenzuela just to do what it took to win. Wait until the Gold Cup on June 24. Then we’ll see some records fall.
