Dale Greenhaw, 32, and Stanford Phipps, 36, of Pomona have completed a program to help ex-convicts acquire skills and find jobs.
The men were honored at a graduation ceremony Wednesday night at the Pomona Church of Christ, which sponsors the Independent Living Training Center, a private, nonprofit organization founded by Don Golden, an ordained minister, and his wife, Linda. Currently, the center houses seven ex-convicts and also helps the homeless find housing and job training.
Greenhaw, who was imprisoned 18 months for burglary, works as a food distributor and truck driver for the center. Phipps, imprisoned for two years for drunk driving, works at a Montgomery Ward warehouse in Chino as a quality control inspector.
