HemaCare Gains OK on AIDS Drug Trials

HemaCare Corp., a Sherman Oaks provider of blood products and related services, said it received approval from the state Department of Health Services to proceed with trials of a drug for treating patients with AIDS.
The drug, called Passive Hyperimmune Plasma, is meant to reduce infections in AIDS patients.
