The driver, Gabriel Frausto, 29, of Placentia, was pronounced dead at the scene, while his passenger, Frank Estrada, 30, address unknown, was treated at Western Medical Center-Santa Ana for moderate injuries.
The accident happened at 4:05 a.m. Sunday when the 1988 Toyota pickup, driven at high speed on the transition from the westbound Riverside Freeway to the northbound Orange Freeway, missed a curve and overturned, according to California Highway Patrol officials.
