Glendora : Record Budget Increase

The City Council on Tuesday adopted a record $40.2-million city/Community Redevelopment Agency budget, an increase of $11 million from last year’s $29-million budget.
Glendora City Manager Arthur Cook said the increase in the 1990-91 budget, the biggest jump ever, comes primarily from one-time state and federal sources and will be spent primarily on one-time capital improvement projects.
The city’s portion of the budget is $28.6 million, and will be used for projects including improvements to the city’s Youth Hut, LaFetra Center, Civic Center and streets. The Community Redevelopment Agency’s portion of the budget is $11.5 million.
