Memorial Set for Carnation Official E.S. Hartwick

A memorial service for Elbert S. Hartwick, retired head of the legal department and a director and senior vice president for the Carnation Co., will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at All Saints Episcopal Church in Beverly Hills.
Hartwick, a former member of the Republican State Central Committee and first chairman of the board of the John Thomas Dye School, a private school in Bel-Air, was 86 when he died in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
Survivors include his wife, Joy, a son, Ronald, and a grandson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dye School, 11414 Chalon Road, Los Angeles 90049.
