SELVA DI FASANO, Italy — Cameroon’s success at the World Cup has created a brisk business for souvenir sellers traveling with the team.
Shirts, shorts, caps and miniature Cameroon flags have become popular items after the “Indomitable Lions” swept past Argentina and Romania and into the second round.
Camille Moute, a businessman from Yaounde, set up shop in the lobby of Cameroon’s hotel today and quickly sold out of shorts and most of his supply of shirts--multicolored pullovers featuring lions, soccer balls and the national colors of red, yellow and green. The shirts and shorts also have a map showing Cameroon’s location in western Africa.
