Legal Adviser Chosen for State Department

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — President Bush will nominate Edwin Williamson to be the new legal adviser of the State Department, the White House announced Wednesday.
Williamson, who would succeed Abraham Sofaer, has been a partner in the national law firm of Sullivan & Cromwell since 1964.
