Auction News: The market is booming for movie and TV memorabilia. A toy monkey carried by James Dean in the jail scene of “Rebel Without a Cause” was expected to bring in no more than $1,500 at a Christie’s auction in New York Wednesday, but it ended up going for $6,800. An umbrella used by Burgess Meredith’s Penguin on the ‘60s “Batman” TV show, along such items as Commissioner Gordon’s red telephone and a Gotham City phone book, fetched a total of $8,500. And look for Arnold Schwarzenegger memorabilia to start climbing. The Spandex track suit he wore in 1987’s “The Running Man” brought $2,400.
