Notre Dame and West Virginia have agreed to play three football games between 1997 and 2001.
The agreement follows last month’s basketball contract that calls for games in South Bend, Ind., next season and in Morgantown, W.Va., a year later.
West Virginia and Notre Dame have met only once in football, a 34-21 Irish victory in the 1989 Fiesta Bowl.
