Chasearacer Wins at Los Alamitos

LOS ALAMITOS — Chasearacer, a 3-year-old gelding, pulled off a major upset by winning the $111,000 Dash For Cash Derby in front of a Sunday crowd of 4,969 at Los Alamitos Race Course.
Chasearacer, a 9-1 outsider in the field of nine, cruised to a three-quarter length victory under jockey Steve Treasure. Chasearacer equaled the fastest 440-yard time of the meet at 21.41 seconds.
Chasearacer earned $49,950 for his first career stakes victory. Favored Ourautograph finished second and Dashin Dee Dee third.
