LOCAL : Buena Park Boy Shot by Friend

A 13-year-old Buena Park boy was in serious but stable condition today after he was shot in the head by a playmate during an apparent accidental shooting, authorities said.
The teen-ager, who was visiting his friend at his La Palma home, was taken to Los Alamitos Medical Center shortly after 9:30 p.m. Monday, a La Palma police spokesman said.
Police responded to the house in the 5200 block of Pembury Drive after receiving a 911 call and found the boy in an upstairs bedroom with a single gunshot wound to his forehead, the spokesman said.
