Gibson to Replace Cooper for South

Gary Gibson, a linebacker from Woodbridge High School, has replaced Huntington Beach lineman Trevor Cooper on the South roster for the Orange County all-star football game July 6 at LeBard Stadium, South Coach Dave White of Edison said Monday.
Cooper, a 6-foot-3, 245-pound defensive lineman, couldn’t play because of a recurring shoulder injury, White said. Gibson, 6-3 and 215 pounds, replaced him Sunday night.
“I think we were fortunate to get Gary,” White said. “He’s going to Arizona State next fall, so he can’t be all that bad.”
