The losing streak continued when one half of my exacta bet, the entry of Flirty and Past Remembered ran 1-2 but I was unable to connect the second half and my other exacta horse, Belara, was scratched. About the only good thing was that due to a typographical error, a $20 exacta came out a $2 exacta, limiting my losses to $12.
In an effort to right my ship tonight I’ll bet $20 exactas from Hazlemere to Secret Angel and Atrevida and $10 exactas from Secret Angel and Atrevida to Hazlemere in the third race.

For the third straight Thursday, the computer managed to post a profit, this time $190 when the entry of Flirty and Past Remembered won and paid $4.60. The $200 win bet returned $460, but two exactas lost $70.
Tonight the computer will wager $40 to win and $20 to place on Burgundy Bonus in the ninth race.
