Hiker Killed in Fall From 100-Foot Cliff

A 22-year-old Valencia woman fell 100 feet off a cliff to her death early Sunday in Angeles National Forest near Sand Canyon Road north of Lake Hughes, authorities said.
Jody Harper was pronounced dead at 2 a.m., after rescuers found her body at the base of the cliff, said Deputy Bill Wehner of Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Investigators have determined that Harper’s death was accidental.
She was with friends at the time of the fall.
